  • Loi n. 2023-491 du 22 juin 2023 relative a l'acceleration des procedures liees a la construction de nouvelles installations nucleaires (nuclear acceleration law)

    Energy / nuclear2023

Bregeon was the National Assembly rapporteure of this law (designated 7 February 2023). The law aims to accelerate administrative procedures to allow construction of new reactors on or near existing nuclear sites, creating an exemptive (derogatory) regime for new nuclear projects. The text had 30 articles; the Constitutional Council censored several provisions.

Jelentőség: A central pillar of France's nuclear revival policy under President Macron. Bregeon's role as rapporteure made her a leading parliamentary figure on nuclear policy and drew scrutiny over her prior EDF employment, though the Assembly's ethics ombudsman concluded she was not in a conflict-of-interest situation.
