Nicolas Forissier, born 17 February 1961 in Paris, is a French politician affiliated with the centre-right. He has represented the 2nd constituency of the Indre department in the National Assembly across several terms (1993-2004, 2007-2012, and since 2017), and was mayor of La Chatre from 1995 to 2017. He served as Secretary of State for Agriculture, Food, Fisheries and Rural Affairs (2004-2005) under Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin. On 12 October 2025 he was appointed Minister-Delegate for Foreign Trade and Attractiveness in the government of Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu, a post he retained after the 26 February 2026 reshuffle. His decision to join the government led to his suspension and exclusion from Les Republicains, which had officially decided not to participate.
